How do i change my servers MOTD?

This tutorial will explain how to add a MOTD to your Minecraft Server. This is what is shown on the server-list underneath your server name.

  1. Login to your VillagerHost Minecraft Servers control panel.
  2. Click File Management

  1. Click on server.properties

  1. Change the motd= field to whatever you would like you message to display. Want to add colour? You can use MOTD generators which allow you to preview what your message will look like, and add colours to this. Our Servers support this. We recommend using https://mctools.org/motd-creator

  1. Click Save, and restart the server!
